Previously I had a list here of one-room schools in Iowa. The funds to send surveys out came from the Iowa One-Room School Alliance that is now defunct. I had hoped I'd eventually have funds to update this list, but at this point it's beyond unhelpful. If I ever do get the funds to try this again I'll post the result.
