family as farmers. Made in front of the groups, taste what surprised Laura and Pa in the hay field. The story will be stressed
in the program. Warning: Ginger Water is an acquired taste cups will be small, but additional fill ups allowed for those who

Quilt Squares
This is a time intensive craft. A simple quilt square (2 pieces) will be hand sewn.
Crafters will be provided with two pre-cut pieces of the quilt square and a threaded needle. It will be introduced with a
discussion of quilts and a group activity based on the 9-patch quilt Laura sews in the books. This is a time intensive craft.
It may be sent home to finish, depending on the time allotted. No needles will be sent home.

Games
A set of games can be arranged. Sarah will gladly
man one station and train your volunteers or staff, but will require one person for each station. Very small groups can do
them one game at a time, without extra volunteers. Usual favorites include a fishing game, ringtoss, and a pretend pig bladder
balloon.
