Another area of interest is in Historic Foodways. I currently serve as head of the Midwest Open-Air Museum Coordinating Council's Historic Foodways Resource Group. See http://www.momcc.org for more information.

My two current research projects in this area are on aprons and school lunch in a one-room school. My apron research is still in the very early stages, but if you
or someone you know went to a one-room school, please fill out my survey.
Click on Lunch Survey on the left.

One of my past projects is a list of the actual historic cookbooks used at living history sites. This list formerly found a home on the MOMCC website, but the
current list has additions to the one that was there. It is a large file. See it at: http://www.trundlebedtales.com/page15.html

Another past project was on food safety in museums. Click on the page on the left for more information.

I have also served as an assistant editor on two fundraising cookbook projects. It's harder than it looks to turn out a quality product. For advice, contact me
or see:

Quality Cookbook.” ALHFAM Bulletin 34.1  (2004):

7 – 9.
